2008 ZW Trip – The New Hampshire Conference of the United Church of Christ (NHC-UCC) has partnered with the UCC in Zimbabwe (UCCZ) since 1996. This Ukama/Partnership now consists of about 40 individual church-to-church partnerships. To support the friendship between our churches and the work of the UCC in Zimbabwe, three delegates from New Hampshire (Rev. Kim McKerley, coordinator of the Ukama/Partnership in New Hampshire, former Associate Conference Minister Rev. Andy Jepson, and Ukama Advisory Board chair Dr. Erik Hobbie) recently traveled to Zimbabwe to attend the installation of Rev. Edward Matuvhunye on November 30th as UCCZ president for a second four-year term. What follows are photos taken by our NHC delegation during their trip.
2009 NH Trip – From May 14th until June 1st, the New Hampshire Conference hosted 12 delegates from the UCCZ in Zimbabwe. This joyous occasion was a chance for old friends to meet again, new friends to be found for the first time, and our shared journey to be walked together for a few weeks. Delegates spent time with their host churches, but also joined us at the NHC Annual Meeting at Waterville Valley, on top of Mt Washington, and at other churches throughout the state. We were truly blessed!
ZW Hunger Appeal – These pictures share images of a few of those who received food as a result of the New Hampshire Conference UCC hunger appeal for the United Church of Christ in Zimbabwe.
